20/01/11: Agilent Launch SureSelect RNA Capture Kits
January 20, 2011 by Peter · Leave a Comment
Agilent have announced the launch of SureSelect RNA Capture Kits.
Agilent’s SureSelect RNA Capture Custom Kits enable the target enrichment of specific transcripts of interest providing precise measurements of expression levels of particular genes. The SureSelect RNA Capture Kits are the first commercially available RNA target enrichment system for RNA Sequencing using NGS. The kits enable researchers to focus on specific transcripts of interest and provide robust and cost effective means to sequence targeted RNA. SureSelect RNA Capture kits are optimized to use with Illumina Genome Analyzer and HiSeq and SOLiD systems.

20/01/11: Agilent Introduces the SureSelect XT Mouse All Exon Kit
January 20, 2011 by Peter · Leave a Comment
Agilent is happy to announce the launch of the SureSelect XT Mouse All Exon Kit on January 19th, 2011.
This launch signals Agilent’s expansion of the SureSelect XT product line into model organisms. More model organism exome capture kits can be expected during 2011.
The SureSelect XT Mouse All Exon Kit is the first NGS target enrichment system to cover the entire mouse exome. Mouse geneticists can now access the industry-leading SureSelect XT Target Enrichment System to generate mouse exome sequence data faster and more cost-effectively on the SOLiD, Illumina, and 454 NGS platforms.
Developed in collaboration with leading mouse geneticists, the SureSelect XT Mouse All Exon Kit delivers a complete view of the mouse exome. The capture is 49.6 Mb and covers over 221,784 exons within 24,306 genes. The content is based on the current UCSC mm9 mouse genome build and a BED file with exon and gene annotation is available on the Agilent eArray website.
