For researchers interested in sequence capture techniques related to NGS, you should be pleased to learn about a new joint Agilent/EMBL practical course on
“Genome Partitioning and Next-Gen Sequencing”:
Date: 14 – 18 June 2010
Place: EMBL-Heidelberg, Germany
The course is open for registration on the EMBL website:
and listed on opengenomics.com
The course will be held in the newly built Advanced Training Centre at EMBL in Heidelberg. There will be enough space for up to 20 participants that will go through the complete workflow of DNA library preparation (Illumina Genome Analyzer or AB SOLiD) and target enrichment using Agilent’s SureSelect All Exon kit. In addition, there will also be a series of lectures on NGS/genome partitioning/data analysis presented by scientists from EMBL and customers working in that field.
During registration (above link to EMBL website), applicants can choose between Solexa and SOLiD sequencing platforms.
